Two Brainerd Resorts Rank in the Top Five in the Midwest by Conde Nast Traveler
Conde Nast Traveler magazine’s annual Reader’s Choice Awards, commonly known as “the best of the best of travel,” are the longest-running and most prestigious recognition of excellence in the travel industry.
The 2018 poll results are featured in the November issue of Conde Nast Traveler and list two lakes area resorts in the top five resorts in the Midwest: Madden’s on Gull Lake, #3, and Grand View Lodge, #5.
The prestigious list of Top Ten properties includes The American Club at Kohler, The Grand Hotel in Michigan, Four Seasons in Irving, TX, and Big Cedar Lodge in Missouri.
“The Condé Nast Traveler ‘Readers’ Choice Awards’ are the crème de la crème of awards among the travel and hospitality industry and we’re extremely proud that two resorts in the Brainerd lakes area are in the top five in the Midwest this year,” said Abbey Pieper, Treasurer and Chief Sales & Marketing Officer. “We are extremely grateful to all in Minnesota, especially our local community, for their support.”
A leading Minnesota tourism destination and golf mecca, the Brainerd lakes area has two courses in the Golf Digest Top 100: The Classic at Madden’s, listed #53, and Deacon’s Lodge, in America’s Top 100.
