Cody Mager

Head Golf Professional at The Classic at Madden’s

Lead Instructor at Madden’s on Gull Lake

Cody grew up in the Brainerd Lakes Area. A talented player himself, Cody competed twice in the MN State High School Golf Tournament. Upon graduation from the Golf Academy of American in Orlando, FL he began his career at Willingers Golf Club in Northfield MN where he became the Head Golf Professional and General Manager. Cody has years of experience instructing all levels of golfers and uses Trackman technology in his lessons and club fittings.

Jeff Marshall

Head Golf Professional at Pine Beach East & Pine Beach West

Jeff is a native of Southern California and joined Madden’s golf professional staff in 2023.  After nine years in the coast guard, Jeff attended the Golf Academy of America.  His career in golf has included time at Oakmont Country Club outside of Dallas TX where instruction was a significant part of his role as the clubs Head Professional.  Jeff also caddied for three years on the LPGA and Symetra tour.

Wally Hynes

PGA Golf Professional

Wally a native of New York spent time in the Marine Corps before embarking on a 35 year career in golf including Foothills Golf Club in Arizona, and Medinah CC and Cress Creek CC near Chicago Ill.  During his 30 years as Head Golf Professional and General Manager at Cress Creek CC instruction was a big part of his role at the club.  Wally also uses Trackman technology for his lessons and club fittings.

Glenn Hagberg

Class A PGA Head Professional

Glenn’s serene devotion to our game has been a fixture at Madden’s for a decade. One of Cloquet, Minnesota’s finest exports, Glenn also won his spurs at Ferris State. His impressive resume contains such fine clubs as Eagle Vail Golf Club, The Village Club of Sands Point on Long Island and St. Ives and Tullymore Golf Resort in Michigan. Glenn’s passion is in junior golf. He is skilled with full-swing instruction and an excellent communicator with beginning to intermediate golfers.

Tanner Schoenfelder

Golf Course Superintendent

Tanner comes to Madden’s after spending four years as the lead superintendent at Wolf Creek Golf Course in Mesquite, Nevada. He has a degree in Sports Turf Management and has worked at several Top 100 golf courses including Cherry Hills (Denver, Colorado) and Bethpage Black (New York).
